Description
Bottoms Up – Erotic Work of Art: Original hand-made decorated sensual moulded form based on female body part finished in acrylics with added tattoo and decorative element in dedicated display. One of the first assemblages by Chris Francis, Bottoms Up – Erotic Work of Art was borne out of painting from actual models on to mannequins and then moulded from them to create individual artworks and the start of a number of erotic pieces celebrating the sensual.
For a while, he rented a studio to further explore sensual erotic drawing and painting in Deptford SE London but now has a workshop in his home in Thamesmead where the more explicit depictions of the female provided a trigger to create abstract small exquisite and decorative assemblages focused on female genitalia and body parts including the Area of Male Attention (AroMA) series of Erotic Works of Art.
His Erotic Works of Art have been shown in the Annual Erotic Art Exhibition, Southbank, London; Place des Suisse Artes, Lausanne; Strand Gallery, Charing Cross, London; Beaumont Hall Studios, St Albans
Chris Francis is also featured in EAL’s Publication ‘Best of Erotic Artists’ and Guild of Erotic Artists Volumes l and ll
