Hair – Sensitive Nude Study lovingly created tonal drawing in graphite and line 16″ x 12″ (40cm x 30cm) on paper: An erotic work by Chris Francis alias Francisco Erotica as manifestation of admiring the female figure harking back, naturally, to teenage years in an all boys’ grammar school.
Paintings and drawings, such as Hair – Sensitive Nude Study, represent sensual female shapes and forms, this one in tone as well as others in line and colour to sensitively capture actual models of different sizes and colour
Early Stirrings
The artist began creating nudes in the flesh like Hair – Sensitive Nude Study began at art school, starting to hone his Painting and drawing techniques. It was further enhanced in Life Drawing and painting by exploration and experimentation with various media on a degree-level art course during the revolution that encompassed art education in the liberating 60s.
External Stimulation
During a business career, he attended Life Drawing and Painting Sessions part-time to develop competence and confidence grew to represent the sensual female form in whole or part with the expressive use of line, and tone as well the various flesh colours of models of differing ethnic backgrounds.
Spreading it About
Chris Francis ran a Masterclass in Life Drawing and Painting at the Waterloo Arts Centre in Waterloo, SE London and has done Demonstrations throughout London and Home Counties.
Keeping One’s Hand In
Hair – Sensitive Nude Study was produced at one of the many Life Drawing and Painting sessions at Adult Education Centres in his native Birmingham as well the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Greenwich and Bexley after leaving Art College in 1967. In addition also attended a group in Barcelona.

The artist has had articles published in A&I (Artist & Illustrator) and The Artist magazines and has featured in EAL’s Publication ‘Best of Erotic Artists’ and Guild of Erotic Artists Volumes l and ll
